Letting go, seems the easiest thing to do, but hard at the same time.
How many times do you hear, just let it go, it’s the famous loaded question that we all dread and get defensive about, me included! Or you burst into the let it go song from Frozen.
I was asked to go into meditation and ask why would I not let go of a certain situation. The answer I got made me laugh as it was so ridiculous and something I had, I suppose, self imposed on myself a long time ago! I suffer from pain in my hip and have done for a while now which I had associated with long covid, however it flares up and I had been having increased pain of late. So when I had this revelation, pain shot round the hip area in the most excruciating way and down my legs, I now touch wood (taps head) have a dull ache, and await to see how it shifts so much other stuff in my life as I had not appreciated how intertwined in my life this issue was.
Why am I telling you this! Well I’m not the only one that thinks they have let go of stuff and in fairness I had dealt and processed all of the emotional aspect and disconnected and all the other stuff in connection to it, just not this one wee bit that hadn’t even entered my radar as I had forgot the attachment I had made to a statement of intent many moons ago.
So the lesson is learning how powerful statements of intent are, so be clear and precise about the intent you wish to make.
While we are here discussing letting go, Why do we feel we need to keep the burden of situations from the past? , why do we keep the pain unnecessarily, why can we forgive others but not forgive ourselves?
We need to be kind to ourselves, there is enough judgement around in the world without turning on ourselves as well.
So today, mediate on the why your not letting go of whatever it is that’s holding you back.
Give yourself a pat on the back and tell yourself well done and that your proud of yourself.
Practice forgiveness for you.
Lots of love Heather xXx
