The Day After International Women’s Day…..

Well it’s the day after International Women’s day, I was going to write yesterday, in fact if truth be told I have been wanting to write this post for sometime.

Recently I had read a post that Madonna had written about women that was inspiring but also so sad.

Whilst women have come a long way, we are still miles away in the equality front, and discrimination against us is still quite shocking. One rule for men and other for women, God forbid a women should behave in anyway like a man without being vilified.

Where would the world be if it were not for women!

The saying “behind every successful man is a stronger women”, well OK, I added the stronger bit to it, but it’s true.

We are all brought up by women as a whole, I know there are exceptions! Women have lots of expectations on them, bearing children, looking after a house, cooking, cleaning, running errands, titivating themselves for their partner, looking after and raising children, working. ….. the list can go on. Where is the time for women to just be themselves, provide care and nurture to heal themselves from everyone else’s life. For them to excel in learning.

Where is the support from their significant others when they need help or reassurance, why is everything so one side.

I know attitudes are changing and there has been progress made, but we need to do more.

Yes there are things that are more gender specific on each side, but there are also things that are not and can be shared equally.

Cooking

Cleaning

Raising children

Ideas and innovation at work

To name a few!

Why should a women doing the same job as a man be on a different pay scale! Surely it’s about the ability to complete the job not gender. Yet still in this day and age it still happens.

Look at the bravery and the resilience of the women out in the Ukraine just now, without question they are there defending their country, their people and freedom. They are pulling their sleeves up and getting mucked in, for not much in return.

Women are truly amazing!

We should celebrate women everyday, not just one day a year. Give thanks to the strong women in your life, think to yourself where would you be without them!

I will end there as I could go on.

Have an amazing day ❤️

Lots of love Heather xXx
